A shop in Kisumu, a consultancy serving several countries, or a new online project: each needs an address people can find again. Browse the endings below and build a shortlist around your name, audience and annual budget.

Open a directory card to read about that ending. The Kenyan options lead the list; the filter helps you reach the others.

Choose an extension for your audience

A good address survives being spoken over the phone and printed on a receipt.

Kenya

A local business address

For a Kenyan customer base, try your trading name under .co.ke and .ke. Picture each version on a delivery note or business card. Fewer spelling explanations make an address easier to share.

International

A name for a wider audience

Selling abroad as well? Put .com, .org or .net on your shortlist. Judge the complete address rather than treating any single suffix as a requirement for reaching overseas customers.

Your work

An ending that describes it

A retail name ending in .store or .shop can read like a description. Make sure that description still suits the business if you later add services or a different range of products.

Compare the renewal, too

Budget beyond launch day. Look up what you will pay to keep the registration active after its introductory term, especially when comparing a discounted ending with another option.

Once an ending makes your shortlist, search the full name for its price. Premium names can cost more, and some endings require several years of registration upfront.

Domain extension FAQs

What is a domain extension?

The extension is the ending after your chosen name. In biashara.co.ke it is .co.ke; in biashara.com it is .com.

.ke is Kenya’s top-level domain. You can also register names beneath endings such as .co.ke. This directory brings those choices together.

Does a listed extension mean my domain name is available?

An extension card describes a category of addresses. It says nothing about whether a particular spelling is still unregistered.

  1. Type the spelling and ending together in the search box.
  2. Read the returned result for that exact address.
  3. Proceed with an available result to place a registration order.
What do registration, renewal and transfer prices cover?
  • Register covers securing a previously unregistered address.
  • Renew covers another term for a registration you hold.
  • Transfer covers changing the provider that manages a registration.

Use the linked extension page to review those charges and available terms. Then request a name-level quote through search.

Can anyone register every extension in the list?

Registration conditions vary by namespace. Some accept general use; others require an eligible organisation or supporting evidence. Decide whether your intended use fits before committing to a name.

Read the requirements on the relevant extension page. For a restricted category, ask which evidence your organisation should supply with its application.

Why can the quote for my domain differ from a card’s price?

A card describes a standard starting rate. A particular spelling may be classed as premium, or your order may cover a longer term than the card price.

Check the exact spelling, billing currency and duration when comparing amounts. Send support the two quotes if those details match and the difference is unexplained.

Does a free transfer give me another year of registration?

The Kenya free-transfer offer accompanies eligible annual hosting or a longer hosting term. It is a different offer from an extension’s ordinary transfer fee.

Select the hosting term and eligible domain together to see the promotional transfer benefit in your order.

What if I cannot find the extension I want?

The directory follows our published extension pages. To look for an ending without a card, search a full address containing it; support can also check whether we accept that registration or transfer.
