One purchase brings together hosting and an eligible existing name. Here is what you pay for now and later.
There is no need to replace the address customers already know. Your hosting purchase covers bringing that address into your account with us.
An additional registration year is part of the offer. Once the move finishes, check that your account shows the added year.
The name will need a paid renewal when its new term ends. Look up its ending in the price comparison and allow for that future expense.
Hosting remains a paid subscription. Add-ons you choose and recovery of an expired name can also cost money.
Before buying, check the name’s status and make a plan for the services your customers use.
Open the account where the name is registered and check its expiry. Request permission to move it from that provider. Keep the services behind the name running until you have finished the handover.
Suppose your current expiry is in March. The added year takes it to March of the next year. Put that later date in your calendar for the next domain bill.
An ending outside the five listed above needs a separate quote. The standard transfer pricing page covers those moves; listing an ending there does not make it part of this promotion.
View all transfer prices →Think about what customers will reach tomorrow: the same website, the same inbox, or replacements you are setting up. Moving a name changes its registrar. Copying the site and saved messages is another job.
Ask who will keep the DNS service running. If it is closing, prepare the replacement with all the existing records before switching to it. Those records connect the name to your site, incoming mail and other services.
Get approval to move
The provider you are leaving supplies the transfer code. Remove an optional lock if needed, and make sure approval messages can reach you. A required waiting period must finish before the move can proceed.
Read the transfer preparation guide →Once you have planned the hosting and domain move, decide how customers will contact you online.
A mailbox such as [email protected] gives customer replies a recognisable sender. Explore Workplace for email on the name you use.
Discover Workplace email →Use the website builder to introduce your business online. Include what you sell, where you work and how a customer can reach you.
Discover our website builder →Look at both the name and the hosting term. The ending must be one of .co.ke, .com, .org, .ac.ke or .sc.ke, and the hosting purchase must cover 12 months or more.
For a school or college name, the person arranging the move should have authority to act for that institution.
Yes. This hosting-linked offer buys another year for the eligible registration. Check the updated expiry once the request is complete.
After that year, keeping the name costs the applicable renewal price. Hosting is billed on its own schedule, so record its next payment date as well.
You are buying hosting even though the domain benefit is included. A total above zero is therefore expected. Other items you add to the purchase can increase it.
Check which line the charge belongs to. If the included domain benefit is missing, ask us to check the chosen ending and hosting term before you pay.
Tell us which names you want to bring and which hosting purchases they will accompany. We can check how the offer applies before you arrange several moves.
Do not assume that one hosting purchase covers every address in a list. Get the qualifying combination confirmed, then provide the authorization for each name through its own private order.
No. The offer pays for an eligible move; it does not give us permission to release a locked registration. Owner approval and any applicable waiting period still govern the request.
Your current registrar can explain the block and the next possible release date. Use that answer to plan the purchase instead of submitting the same request again.
Find out whether the name can still be renewed or has entered a recovery stage. That status determines what you need to do before bringing it here.
A name in redemption needs restoration by the provider holding it. Obtain that provider’s recovery quote first. After restoration, check the hosting offer’s eligibility again.
The difference is whether you already hold the name. This promotion accompanies an existing registration. A new address must first be available to register and follows the conditions of a new-domain offer.
For a business without an address yet, begin with availability search. If you already have one but do not need qualifying hosting, use standard transfer pricing.
