Cheapest Domains in Kenya

Register a .co.ke domain for Kshs 299 for the first year. Renewal: Kshs 1,500 per year.

.COM registration: Kshs 1,100 for the first year. Renewal: Kshs 1,600 per year.

The biggest Black Friday discount rarely buys the cheapest VPS. A plan marked 70% off can still cost more than a plain plan at a fair rate. Three numbers decide the real price: the renewal rate, 16% VAT, and the term you prepay.

This guide lists Black Friday 2026 VPS deals in Kenya with prices in KES. Each plan shows its server location, VAT status, and M-Pesa support.

TrueHost leads the list, with competitors’ prices listed beside it for easy comparison. We checked prices in October 2026 and will update this page as offers go live.

Black Friday 2026 Dates: When to Buy Your VPS

Black Friday 2026 VPS Deals in Kenya Choose server resources for the work you need to run.

Black Friday falls on November 27, 2026. Cyber Monday follows on November 30.

Kenyan sales start early. For example, Jumia’s 2025 Black Friday campaign ran from October 31 to November 30. Hosting companies follow a similar pattern. Hostinger’s 2025 VPS sale ran from October 13 to December 8.

TrueHost Black Friday VPS Deals in Kenya

TrueHost sells Kenya Cloud VPS plans from its Nairobi data center. All three plans below are unmanaged, so you control the server.

TrueHost also sells managed VPS plans with cPanel or DirectAdmin. In addition, Windows VPS is available. Compare the managed plans on the managed VPS plans page.

TrueHost also offers global Cloud VPS plans from data centers in Europe and the USA. All four are unmanaged Linux plans. They cost less per GB of RAM than the Nairobi plans. However, the latency to Kenya runs higher.

Pick this range if your visitors live abroad or you want more RAM per shilling. Pick the Nairobi range if your visitors live in Kenya.

Payment stays simple. TrueHost accepts M-Pesa and Airtel Money, and it bills in KES. As a result, you skip international card hassles and currency conversion fees.

Use these three steps to read any Black Friday price. First, note the monthly rate. Second, multiply it by the term. Third, check the renewal rate. For a full breakdown, read our Kenya VPS cost guide.

Other Kenya VPS Black Friday Deals Worth Checking

Best value compares each plan's lowest monthly equivalent; contract lengths can differ.

We found no announced Black Friday VPS offers from HostAfrica, HostPinnacle, or Lineserve. Until they publish one, this section lists their standard prices. Hosting.com Kenya already shows a 59% off promo. Meanwhile, check each site again on Black Friday itself.

HostAfrica. The C1 plan costs about KES 960 a month. It includes 1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, and 20 GB NVMe storage. Billing runs monthly with no lock-in. HostAfrica lists a location in Kenya, so latency stays low for local visitors.

HostPinnacle. The SM VPS 1 plan costs KES 1,100 a month before VAT. With 16% VAT, the price rises to about KES 1,276. The specs look strong with 4 cores, 6 GB of RAM, and a 100 GB SSD. However, HostPinnacle does not name the server country for each plan. Ask for support before you buy.

Lineserve. The S1 plan costs about KES 1,746 a month with monthly billing. It includes 1 vCPU, 2 GB of RAM, 20 GB of storage, and 1 TB of bandwidth. Servers sit in Nairobi, and M-Pesa works at checkout. Lineserve also offers a 7-day money-back guarantee. A year paid upfront earns two free months.

hosting.com Kenya. This is the former Kenya Web Experts. Its unmanaged VPS page lists four self-managed Linux plans with 59% to 68% off. Every promo price needs a 3-year term paid upfront. The renewal rates then run about 2.4 to 3.1 times higher. cPanel is optional on each plan.

The prices above are low, so compare the upfront total and the renewal rate before you decide. The managed cPanel VPS is listed at KES 7,333 per month, with a promo rate of near KES 3,666. The page does not state the server location, so ask before you buy.

International VPS Black Friday Deals Kenyans Can Use

Pay Less and Manage It Yourself, or Add Server Management

Global providers cut prices hard in November. Hostinger’s 2025 sale, for example, dropped its KVM 1 plan from $13.99 to $4.99 a month. Contabo has also offered price locks during Black Friday season. Vultr and RackNerd run sales too.

These deals come with trade-offs. Most need an international card. DigitalOcean and Hetzner, for instance, accept neither KES nor M-Pesa. Your bank may also add conversion fees.

Latency is the bigger issue. Servers in Europe or the US are far from Nairobi, so pages load more slowly for Kenyan visitors. Therefore, an overseas VPS makes sense only in two cases. Either your audience lives abroad, or you need a data center outside Africa.

How to Read a Black Friday VPS Price Before You Pay

A discount means little until you check five details. Work through them before you pay.

  1. Renewal rate. Many sale prices cover only the first term. Then the plan renews at the regular rate. Check the renewal line on the checkout page. A live example shows the gap. hosting.com Kenya advertises a 4 GB plan at KES 859.95 a month. After the 3-year term, it renews at KES 2,100. The 32 GB plan jumps from KES 3,200 to KES 10,000, which is about 3.1 times higher.
  2. VAT. Some providers list prices without 16% VAT. For example, HostPinnacle’s KES 1,100 plan costs about KES 1,276 with VAT. As a result, a plan listed at KES 1,200 with VAT included costs less.
  3. Term length. Long-term gives the deepest discounts. However, they also demand the biggest upfront payment. A KES 1,400 monthly rate on three-year billing means about KES 50,400 at checkout.
  4. Bandwidth. Some plans cap monthly data. TrueHost’s Kenya Cloud VPS 1 includes 1 TB of storage. Lineserve and HostAfrica instead cap port speed at 1 Gbps with no monthly volume limit.
  5. Billing currency. KES billing removes conversion fees. USD-only providers charge in dollars, so your bank’s exchange rate applies.

So, do Black Friday VPS prices stay the same at renewal? Not always. The renewal line tells you the truth. TrueHost states that its starting rate stays the same. Still, confirm this for your plan and term before you pay.

Which VPS Deal Fits Your Project

Developers and test servers. Start with Kenya Cloud VPS 1 or 2. Both are unmanaged and cost less. You control the operating system, so they suit people who know Linux.

Small business sites and WordPress. Pick a managed VPS if you lack server skills. Support then handles updates and security. If you manage the server yourself, Kenya Cloud VPS 2 with 2 GB RAM gives a WordPress site room to run.

Agencies and multiple sites. Choose Kenya Cloud VPS 3 with 4 GB RAM. Several sites can share one server. Plan the RAM for each site before you add the next one.

Online stores. Shops see traffic spikes during sales. Therefore, start at 2 GB RAM and upgrade if checkout slows.

Windows and RDP workloads. TrueHost offers Windows VPS. Windows uses more memory than Linux, so check RAM and license terms first. Lineserve lists a Windows VPS starting at KES 3,195, with the license included.

Managed or unmanaged? Unmanaged means you handle updates, the firewall, and backups. Managed means the provider handles them for you. If you cannot log in over SSH, choose managed. Otherwise, unmanaged saves money.

Server Location and Latency: Why a Nairobi Server Wins

A Nairobi server sits close to your visitors. Lineserve’s tests show that Nairobi-hosted VPS plans respond in about 1-10 ms from Kenyan networks. Servers in Europe respond far more slowly. As a result, pages, checkouts, and admin panels feel sluggish.

Not every “Kenya” VPS runs in Kenya. Some resellers host plans abroad. Others never name the country. Verify the location yourself with these steps:

  1. Ask for support for the data center city in writing.
  2. Run a ping test from your own connection after you deploy.
  3. Compare the result with the 1-10 ms range above.

Some servers block ping requests. In that case, ask for support for a test IP address.

Location also affects data rules. If you store customer data, check whether Kenya’s Data Protection Act applies to you. A lawyer can confirm this for your business.

Which providers run servers in Kenya? Lineserve’s comparison lists five with verified Nairobi addresses: Servercore, TrueHost’s Kenya VPS range, HostAfrica’s Kenya location, Angani, and Lineserve.

Paying for a Black Friday VPS in Kenya: M-Pesa, Cards, and KES Billing

Can you pay for a VPS with M-Pesa? Yes, on several Kenyan providers.

  • TrueHost accepts M-Pesa and Airtel Money and bills in KES.
  • Lineserve: accepts M-Pesa, cards, bank transfer, and PayPal.
  • HostAfrica: lists mobile payments. Confirm M-Pesa at checkout.
  • International providers usually require a Visa or Mastercard. Conversion fees may apply.

To pay TrueHost by M-Pesa, pick your plan and term first. Next, go to checkout and choose M-Pesa. Then follow the payment prompt on your phone. Keep the confirmation message until your server is live.

TrueHost gives you a Nairobi server, KES billing, and M-Pesa checkout. You skip international cards and conversion fees. So the price you see matches the price you pay.
