Supabase Hosting in Kenya.Put your app’s records and sign-ins in one backend.

A booking app needs more than a screen: it needs somewhere to save appointments, recognise each customer and return the right records. Our Kenya catalogue offers a pre-configured Supabase environment. Plan the services your application will use, then choose enough resources to run them.

Build around the requests your app handles

Keep related records together

A repair business could store customers, jobs and invoices in PostgreSQL. Define how those records connect before building the screens, so changing an appointment does not leave a second, conflicting copy elsewhere.

Give each user the right view

Authentication identifies a signed-in user; your access rules decide what that person can read or change. A customer should see their own bookings, while a dispatcher may need a wider view of the schedule.

Connect the interface to its data

The listing includes REST and GraphQL APIs and Realtime support. Decide which requests should return stored data and which screens need live updates. Test those choices with the exact services enabled in your deployment.

Match the server to the deployed services

Complete stack

Supabase’s published Docker minimum for all components is 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM and 40 GB SSD storage. Pro meets those listed minimum resources. Size above that baseline for the workload your app needs.

Growing workload

Business lists 4 vCPU and 8 GB RAM. More capacity can help accommodate additional application activity, but database queries, file sizes and simultaneous users still need measurement. A resource tier is not a promised visitor count.

Starting small

Starter remains available for a small project. We recommend Pro or Business when running the full collection of Supabase services: Starter has less memory and processor capacity than the upstream full-stack minimum. Try your actual application before putting customer traffic on it.

Prepare a backend your team can maintain

Define the records

Sketch the tables, relationships and people who will use them. Start with a small set of realistic booking or order records rather than importing the whole business database immediately.

Configure application access

Set the application URL, sign-in redirects and email settings. Keep privileged server credentials out of frontend code. Review row-level policies for every table exposed through the API.

Test both allowed and denied requests

Use two separate accounts to check that one customer cannot read another customer’s records. Also try an expired session, an invalid upload and a failed email delivery.

Assign ongoing ownership

Agree who will apply updates, monitor resource use and test recovery. Keep the deployment configuration and a protected recovery copy somewhere the responsible team can reach.

Supabase Hosting FAQs

How do I decide whether my app needs this?

Write down one complete task a customer will perform. For a repair service, that might be choosing a time, booking the repair and checking its progress later. Identify the information that must survive between those visits.

A prepared backend can hold that information and serve it to your interface. If your project is only a few public information pages, ordinary website hosting may be a simpler fit.

Which order should I consider for a public launch?

We recommend Pro or Business for the complete Supabase stack. The upstream Docker baseline is two processor cores, four gigabytes of memory and forty gigabytes of SSD space. The smaller Starter option remains available but falls below that full-stack baseline.

Run a trial of the intended application before inviting customers. Record the resources consumed by its busiest task, and allow room for the next feature you already intend to add.

What needs to be ready before our developer starts?

Prepare a short brief with the people who will use the app, the information each provides and the result they expect. Include a sample booking, cancellation and correction using invented details.

  • Name the project owner who can approve a change.
  • Identify any existing system the app must connect to.
  • Decide which information staff may edit.
  • Agree the first release before adding later features.
Can we start without importing customer information?

Yes. Use invented names and sample jobs to build a small working version. Try mistakes deliberately: a duplicate booking, an unavailable appointment and a customer who changes their mind.

Resolve those cases before copying real business information. A useful trial proves that the application behaves as intended, rather than merely showing a populated screen.

What should an access check demonstrate?

For a booking service, a customer should not be able to open somebody else’s appointment by changing an address or identifier. A staff account may need to reschedule work, while a customer account may only request a change.

Have the developer demonstrate those boundaries with separate trial accounts. Keep privileged credentials out of the customer interface and review the policies protecting the underlying records.

What if our current app uses Supabase Cloud?

List the provider services the app actually depends on before ordering a move. A Truehost-hosted installation does not automatically reproduce the managed platform’s features or operating arrangements.

Ask the developer to mark each dependency as available, needing configuration or needing a replacement. Cost the remaining work before changing the production connection.

How do we know a recovery copy is useful?

Ask the responsible administrator to restore a trial environment and demonstrate the original booking task there. Check that its attachments and related records remain connected and that a returning customer can reach the expected information.

Document the recovery steps and who can carry them out. Keeping a saved file helps only when the team can use it to bring the service back.

When should we review the hosting choice again?

Review it when you add a new feature or notice a repeated slow task. Keep a short record of the affected operation, its response time and the server measurements during that period.

A developer may find an inefficient query or unnecessary live subscription. Fix the cause you can verify, then choose more capacity when the remaining workload calls for it.
