WordPress Update

The most important reason for updating a WordPress version is due to the new plug-ins that comes with it that improves your security. Most importantly never forget to back up your data and verify the back up is successful before the process of updating is carried out, to avoid data loss. Also failure to perform a back may make your plug-ins to be deleted.

To update your theme manually;

• Go to http;// wordpress.org using your search engine and click download
• Delete previous files in wordpress except wp-config.php file, wp-content folder,images,language,custom content and plugins, robots.text file and .htaccess.
• Use your search engine to download wordpress.org
• Run it on screen while it gets uploaded and ensure you follow the instructions
• update the the plug-ins,.htaccess and themes while checking their compatibility
• Reactivate all the plugins
• Add security keys to wp-config.file
• You can now review your changes done to wordpress and incase of encounter in problems theres an option of troubleshooting.
• Login in wordpress in the admin page
• Theres need to clear the browser cache to ensure the new changes are clear to customers and this makes the process complete.
