How to secure webmail in Plesk

Webmail is an interface that allows you to access your emails via the web browser. If your domain is called example.com, your webmail link in for Plesk is webmail.example.com

This is the link you access to get your email login page.

Sometimes, the link may show a Security Warning when accessed specifically for the first time due to missing SSL certificate. The steps below show how you can secure the link with the free Lets Encrypt SSL provided bt Truehost

1. Login to your Plesk Control Panel

2. Go to Lets Encrypt SSL

3. Select Issue Wildcard SSL Certificate and Install the SSL. Allow about a minute for the process to finish

4. Go to back to the main page and click SSL/TLS Certificates

5. Select the SSL you have just installed then click Secure Webmail

Now, your webmail interface is secured and no security warnings will display when accessing the Webmail URL.
