How To Move Your Blog From Blogger To WordPress

Exporting Your Blogger Content

Now, it is time to export your Blogger content. Carefully follow the following steps to export your full content from Blogger.

1. Log in to your Blogger account

2. Go to Settings.

3. Scroll down to the Manage Blog section and click on “Back up Content”

4. A pop-up window will appear. Click “Download” button.

Upon clicking download, all your blogger contents will be downloaded to your computer as an XML file.

Importing Your Blogger Content To WordPress

Now that you’ve got your Blogger content as an XML file, it is time to import it into WordPress.

1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.

2. In the left-hand menu, click Tools -> Import

3. Find Blogger on the list (it should be the first option, on top of the list)

4. Click “Install now” link and wait for a few seconds for WordPress to finish installing the plugin

5. Click Run Importer

6. Click the Choose File button and select the XML file that you exported from Blogger to your computer and then click the Upload file and import button.

7. Now you need assign author of the imported posts. Select the existing user, and click “Submit”

To that far all of your Blogger posts, comments, users, and all the contents will be imported to WordPress.

In the event that your XML file was too large, you may need to increase your maximum file upload limit.
