Two Factor Authentication also known as 2FA is becoming a necessity in the Internet. Password authentication alone is no longer sufficient. At Truehost, all our client facing systems allow clients to enable 2FA – cPanel hosting is no exception.

Below is how o enable 2FA in cPanel

Prerequisites

• A Two Factor Authentication app on your Phone e.g Authy, or Google Authenticator

Procedure

1.Login to cPanel

2.Navigate to Security section and click Two Factor Authentication

The new Interface for cPanel looks like this

3. Click Setup Two Factor Authentication

4.Scan the following QR code with a two-factor authentication app on your phone e.g Google Authenticator.

5. Add the code you get on the App on the slot provided as shown below
